as soon as you take off one side the whole rear drops a couple inches. raise it up before you start. trust me.

When I did my 440's, by the way I think you are going to like them, I just put the scissor jack under the rear of the frame to keep the bike from dropping. It really made the job really easy...Don't forget the lock tite!!!!
