I have the corbin hollywood solo seat on my 2010 wide glide. All i can say is that after riding with it and now knowing how GREAT it is, i would have paid double the price. Short trips or long distance, doesnt matter, the seat hugs your but and gives you nice back support, by far the best investmnet i have made in my bike. Im sure the Classic Solo is just the same Corbin is a TOP COMPANY

I have two of them! The first I bought had no backrest hardware, which I thought was fine and it's a very well made, comfortable seat. I had put about 15000 miles on a Corbin Dual Tour before buying this. . . and to be honest I went with this solo seat for daily use because I ran into a spell of gals asking for rides on my bike that I didn't want to give rides for a number of reasons, the most prominent being I have a lover I'm crazy about and don't want another. 
When I had this for about a thousand miles I bought a bag for my then upcoming long-distance trip that has a flap that slides onto the back of the backrest, really cool. . . and it worked really well on the back of the Corbin Dual Tour, and it got me to thinking. . . what if I had a solo seat with a backrest? So I spent money I probably shouldn't have to order one with the backrest hardware.
So I'll probably sell the first one that doesn't have backrest hardware.
Anyway, these are great seats! I'm a big fan of Corbin's firm sort of comfort, and I love the leather on these seats (after you have leather you don't want vinyl!) and they let you show off your fender, which is a good thing. (Though you almost always need to have a fender bib). I can definitely recommend the Classic Solo!
