Default Blackline vs Wide Glide

My girl has just got a bike and I am ready to sell my streetglide.

Visited the stealer yesterday. They set me up with two bikes to ride. He said "ride the blackline first, you will not make it to the end of the parking lot before turning back!". Not so, I actually liked the ride. I have longer arms than the average human, so it fit. The B-line is a solid bike, it felt more "planted" than the WG. Prob because it is has more poundage. I put a few miles in the city then turned onto the highway, very stable ride.

The WG now, felt like going from work boots to sneakers. I was instantly surprised how agile the bike was in comparison. I expected just the opposite. The braking seemed weaker on the WG but I contribute that to brand new pads vs pads with ~ 100 miles on them. It is tough to make a clear judgement with brand new equipment. The WG sits much higher. felt like going to a SUV. At 20-30mph I did the back and forth a few times and was surprised again how responsive it was. Very good for a skinny tire up front. The lesser weight and sound was better with the WG. Absolutely smitten for this bike, I did not want to bring it back.

Anyone interested in a '06 streetglide?

I'd probably like both of them for different reasons.

Try a Fat Bob out on the road though before you pull the trigger.

I am with you on this one. I do like both of the bikes, are they close to the same price or is the Dyna cheaper?

Nope, going the wrong direction here. Fat Bobs have more of a touring fork, getting out of that arena. I need the 21" wheel and extended fork look. WG is the best stock bike for this.

A vivid black goes for fourteen nine $. Too many flame paints out there, might have the tank custom painted to be different. Any body in upstate NY good with an airbrush?

Purely from a looks standpoint, the BL is just wrong. With a name like Black, it should be........ Black! I don't mind the contrasting colors on the tank, but the chrome exhaust and upper jugs just look terrible. IMO.

Right here is your answer . Although both are tight *** bikes , but it seems from your own words, the Dyna is the way to go .
