Can you define harsh? I'm interested to know because I also feel it's similar. Mind you I like the sound, but just want to understand what you think.

I had a set of v&h slip ons on my nightster , they were great on tick over , but as soon as i was going it was like the baffle was missing , too hi pitched for me , like a crackle rather than a thump , if you know what i meen , Ive now got a fat bob , i went with rush slip ons with a 2.25" baffle and while they are loud enough to wake the whole village there a much deeper sound ,much more bass than treble , and seem less offencive , they also don't become a nuisance when I'm on a longer run , we all like a bit more noise , but as an audio buff , i prefer a more refined sound , not just noise , but each to there own , its just my preference .
