Alright guys, to much time to think about my bike on this deployment. I've tossed around the ideas of adding some contrast back to my bike in the past and those thoughts are coming back. I don't have any pics to post from here but you can see my bike in my sig pic. I'm thinking about swapping out the cam cover, primary, and rocker box covers from wrinkle black to either chrome or the satin chrome Fatboy Lo covers. Thoughts?
Well here is my two pence worth i am into the whole blacked out thing but my preference is for some chrome / satin to give some contrast so that gets my vote.
Looks fine the way it is. Send some money to me instead. You can even send half of what you were expecting to spend, that way you save money and help me too.
I know blacked out Dynas are a dime a dozen...over-done...but yours is exceptionally blacked out....stay ahead of that old curve and leave it that way...looks great!
If you start pulling back and putting some chrome on it...you'll slip down into the huge population of "just another blacked out dyna' crowd and blend in with the rest of us.
Your bike looks great the way you have it set up.
This just goes to show you that we are never done, lol...
As you can see I like chrome too! , so to answer your question that's the direction I would go.
So many ways to add a touch of chrome imho.
Rocker boxes, shocks, 5 3/4 bullet light, turn sig bullets, engine bolt covers, heck man some Chrome heat shields on that V and H pipe might set your bike off.
