There's always the "baggertail" for dyna option from cycle visions as well if you wanna go for hard bags. Buddy has the softail version and can't say enough good things about it.
Soon as I get the coin together I'm going to spring for Dyna throwovers from US Saddlebags. Quality materials and they are American made. As they say about quality, "Buy once, cry once".
I can say that the factory stuff is great quality and the fit is precise. I have the detachable leather ones that have a full metal and plastic frame inside. They are great. I went the cheap route initially and I was never satisfied with the look or the way they mounted. I was seriously considering trading for a bagger. Then I figured for the price of about 1.5 payments on a new bike I can get a set of nice bags. I haven't thought about a bagger since.
Anyone have any experience with these bags? Fiberglass, the price isn't too bad and i like the look of the MM08 ones. They look good, but like has been said, I've gone the cheap route on stuff and it usually gets replaced with better quality. BTW check out in the pictures of the Dyna with the old plane and guns paint job.
