Default Battery life

I bought a 2007 FXDC with 12K miles recently. It had the 10k mile service and new tires. Bought it from a dealer. I was wondering how long a battery could be expected to last. They seem to have great batteries, but I wonder. I live in the desert (Phoenix, az) with regular temps in the 100+ days and ride daily. The battery seems to be fine, but about the worst thing is a dead battery when you want to ride. Any thoughts?

I still have the same battery that came with my bike, I got new in feb 03, in the winter I put it on a tender. It's over 8 years old and still starts the bike every time.
Not saying they all last that long, but mine did and still going strong.

I am still running the original battery and I have never used a tender or charger, but I ride it year round.

I live where its 95f and humid year round. I get around 2-3 years before it starts to run flat. I've been told heat kills the batteries, more so than cold. I park in a car park so cant put it on tender.

5 years. never pulled batt out of bike during the cold minnesota winters. bought my bike in 2006 and this spring the battery started to get weak. replaced with interstate battery which is great. I never used tender, but had to charge it up one spring.

Use the Battery Tender during days not riding, 6 yrs old and still going strong. I've heard that the MoCo uses batteries with thicker plates & vibration resistance and that they are better than many aftermarket types.

I got eight years out of my 01 RoadKing battery. It wasn't fully dead, but my Charge Watch showed it was starting to get weak at the eight year mark. I use a battery tender on the battery in the winter.

Mine is a '97 I bought in 2001. Even if it was new when I got it. It's 10yo it still starts. It's a Yuasa cooked by the oiltank. Now that's long life!

But it is tenderized.
