lol!! Yea I just got lucky. I actually saw the short shots for months. They marked them down to 250 then 200 and then I saw them for 100, but I didn't buy them, I wasn't sure if I was going to like them and I wanted side shots. A forum member was looking for some and I offered to buy them for him and asked him to pay the 100 plus shipping. He said ok, so I bought them and then he bailed on me and disappeared. Didn't return phone calls or emails. So I was thinking about flipping them and make some cash or put them on my bike. So I ended up with a nice set of pipes that I now love and for a price that is hard to beat.

I'm pretty happy with where my bike is right now, so it helps me to be patient and check in on occasion for their clearance table.

For those that wanted to know here is the answer I got back from Progressive......

"The traditional lowering kit works great, althoguhthe Drop-In will ride a bit better (it retains the full droop travel of the stock fork) and is much easier to install.

Suspect you'd be happier if you returned them and went with Drop ins. "

So what did you end up doing? I've got the same kit sitting here and like you, I thought it was the drop in kit. I'm going to go ahead and use it, but I need to know what length to cut the spacers. My chart that come with mine is smugged so I can't read it. If you still have the kit, can you tell me what the lengths were?

I decided to sell them. I'm just not ready to tear into my forks yet. I'll scan the instructions and post them up here in a few.

If these aren't printable PM me your email and I can send the better copy to you.

Thanks man. I have those. The chart I need is, in my kit is a small piece of paper that has two lines. One for FXDBI/LI and one for FXDI/CI/WGI/35 that has the length to cut the spacer. At the bottom it has a note that says to cut one inch shorter for a 2 inch drop. The part with the actual length is unreadable.

I guess I could just wait until I put them back together and adjust the length to 1" above the top of the fork tube.

Oh!! I got that same piece of paper and it's blank in the spacer section, so I don't think yours is the only one. What's stupid is the note refers to the spacer column, but there's nothing there....lol!! I was just going to go by the directions when i was going to do it. At least the spacer would be an easy guess & check.

Atleast it wasn't just mine. I'll just measure it from the top and cut it. Thanks for trying.
