Default Throttle Sticking Help!!!

I change out my handle bars everything went great but my throttle is not wanting to return back to idle? I checked the cables where they meet the grip everything looks lined up. Any thoughts suggestions for me? It almost looks like the wires maybe getting the way not sure how to keep them seated in the housing. Just my guess anyway. Thanks

Make sure the tension is not too tight...that little star wheel underneath the housing.

if that is not the problem, you may just need to adjust the length of the cable a little.

If it is not snapping back, then it is most likely the front cable (on the housing while sitting on the bike). Get 2 wrenches and play with the adjustment untill the throttle returns normally.

I will pull the throttle till it sticks and then turn out the adjuster on the cable untill it rolls back easily.

I did adjust that s star wheel first and nothing, the cables believe it or not actually seem to have more play in them then they did with the stock bars so I am good there. Where are these adjusters your speaking of? Sorry donlt have a service manual yet went to local dealer yesterday to pick onw une up and they were all out, getting one middle of next week hopefully. Thanks for your help much appriciated!!

I am in idiot I know where those adjusters are under the rubber housing near the throttle. Tried mutliple combinations and still sticky could it possibly be the wires are to long? I tried tightening the throttle release cable and I can go all the way untill the two peices separate.

Basically, the cables will still work even if there is a lot of cable for the distance you need to reach the bars...does that make sense?

The cable length does not have an effect in how the cable works if both ends are attached where they need to be...maybe that is a better explanation.

I would follow those steps in manual posted above...make sure the neds are seated in the throttle body also.

Sweet maybe I should pull the thing apart and lube the grip and handlebar maybe its sticking there? I don't think I need to make and adjustment down below feeling like the problem is up at the bar. Thank you very much for posting those you went way above the call of duty there!!

Just make sure the cables are seated and routed where they should be.

One more easy thing to check...make sure you didn't push the throttle in too far on the bars. If there is no gap between the housing and the bar, it will stick.
