wow. So I put them on after work today. It's funny, when I looked at the new pipes, and looked *through* them... I almost thought they were missing parts on the inside since its basically just a wide open can. took about 30 min to get everything off and back on, polished and started. super easy. all I can say is wow. It's exactly what I wanted. deep and throaty.. not excessively loud but not quiet by any means. no loss of torque for me either. great set of pipes, and thanks for the insight everyone. much appreciated
I have the same 2 inch baffles. Loud enuf for me. You get used to them and after a week or so, you think they are not loud enuf. Trust me, everyone else can still hear them!
Your not having any issues with decel popping? Mine souded great but popped like crazy on deceleration. So I am going to get some xied's and a se air cleaner, and should be all set.
I have the Rush 2 inch baffels. Sound is just the way I wanted. Put them on last summer. This summer they did get a little louder. That was a good thing
In the spring I put them on my 07 Lowrider 1.75 baffle, a Fuel moto PC III and a high flow AC kit. Bike runs and sounds sweet. After a 1000 miles they sound sweet. When you get a few bucks, call Fuel moto and pick up the EFI controler and AC kit. $319 for both.
Got a set of Rush slip ons about 4 years ago and have moved them from a Street Glide to the current Road Glide. Over the years they have gotten quite a bit louder, but they sound so good. Very low and throaty sounding. They still look brand new; no chrome problems like other brands seem to have. Enjoy....
Perhaps by now you have them installed. I think you'll love them and I hope you do. I have the exact same bike and I put Rush 3" with 2.25" baffles. One really cool thing about Rush is that they don't put their name or logo all over the slip-ons. It gives the "covert" sound and breathing enhancement with out telling the world that you're not stock. Nice deep throaty sound with some volume. I am an advocate of "be seen and be heard". I can be heard. I have 1100 miles on them and they sound great. Congrats and be safe out there.
I've got a 11 Fat Bob that I'm looking to put some Rush Slip On's to. Does the above hold true with the Fat Bob's in terms of just installing the slip on's and NOT having to tune or remap??
Thanks in advance.
the 11 Fat bob is pretty much the same bike from tank back as my 11 wide glide. From what I've researched, as long as you don't go above 2inch baffles, no need for fuel remapping. I haven't been able to put a ton of miles on mine since putting on the new pipes but I haven't had any issues or loss of torque or popping or anything. its been perfect. got them on ebay for 245 + 15 ship. better than any other sites I found.
