Default Progressive 440 Shocks

Just fitted Progressive 440's to my 2010 Dyna Lowrider. Most of my riding is two up so I got the HD version. Fantastic difference, bike now feels planted, no more wallowing in the bends or bouncing on sh_t roads. Best addon I've bought.

I have the 440's and think they are great. I got the 11.5 inch and eventhough they are lower than the factory ones I no longer bottom out on hard cornering. I have the preload set to the 3rd mark.

well i blew out both seals on mine in less than 12 months, 440 HD, I have ordered some 430's and will see how they go if they breakdown thats it for me and progressive shocks,

high speed and rough roads dont mix, personally I think anyone making suspension should do their testing in Australia its its very hard on gear,

If you still have the original receipt, return them. They have a lifetime warranty.

I don't do much solo so I leave them on 2 up setting which for me and the missus is 2 x complete turns of preload. If you back the pre-load off to say 1/2 turn then they should be fine. If you only do solo you need to get the standard springs, I've got the HD (heavy duty ones) as two up we're on the border between standard and HD. However I like my ride to be firm so that's perfect for me. Main thing is it's now handling closer to my BMW and does not wallow all over the place. When I lean into bends it stays precisely on the line I've set it to. When the missus gets on the bike does not sit lower at all and the ride damping is superb.

However some like the original soft and wallowy suspenspion and it's horses for courses when you set up your bike. There is no right or wrong.

I do agree....I got mine used from my brother but what a difference over stock. I ride mostly solo but I do change the settings from time to time as it is quick simple. If I know I will be riding hard that day I will firm them up but if I know it is just a cruising day I can change the preload in seconds for a smoother ride...The only issue I have had so far is the front end needs some attention......Can anyone say Winter Mod....

I probably already know the answer to this question , but I'm asking it any way. I'm thinking on replacing the stock rear shocks but what is the ideal set to go with, I'm not sure to get lowered or standard stock height shocks. and if I replace the rear should i also do the front as well or can it be done later? My feet are flat on the ground with the stock shocks currently, However I hear that changing out the rear improves handling and the ride. I have a 2006 Lowrider, Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
