Im curious, I have the V&H Big Radius Pipes on my 11 WG and I want to put mid controls on These pipes are a little higher than stock so Im not sure if the bracket will fit over the pipe. Does anyone have this pipe setup and have mid controls. I'd like to see some pics of proof that it'll fit before I plop $$$ for the brackets.
And I called V&H and all they said "Nothing in the notes so it should work" but I'd like to see proof. Thanks in advance for the help!
Thats a tricky one I have the same pipes and same bike (2011 wide glide) and it does not look like its possible to me. And if it does work your right foot is going to be burning hot cause the pipe is right there. Good luck hope it works for you, sorry I am no help.
Well Hot Diggity! Thanks for the post! Guess I can give it a go with less worries now. Thanks again, (And I hope you other guys aren't bidding on the same brackets as me on eBay)
How'd the mid-controls work for you and where exactly on the frame did they mount? Would love to see some pics. I have the Big Shots, staggered, and would like another position to rest the legs on occasion.
get down on your hands and knees and look at each side on the frame under the engine, you will see a flat area on the frame with black plugs,
pop the plugs and bolt the mounts there
OK, myth CONFIRMED. They WILL fit with the Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes. I just put them on and there actually is plenty of clearance. Only thing is you cant fold the right peg back all the way because it will touch the heat shield. BTW, be very careful when wrenching around there, I slipped and scratched my black heat shield There goes $100 for a new one. But good news is it works and test rode, very comfy. Just beware when you come to stops that it will be in you legs way a bit so just be ready for it.
