Need some help from any of you wiring guru's out there. I made a sidemount license frame and need to light it up so the cops don't hassle me. I bought a titelite license frame light from: http://www.1tail.com/sa/p/Lite_N_Boltz_domed_head_license_plate_light_-_Satin_Finish_(pair).htm. It comes with 2 wires, a ground and a power lead. I have attached the ground wire to the frame now I need to know which wire to splice the power lead to specifically. I have a 2006 Bob. Does anyone know which color wire on the tailight harness I need to splice into? I have no manual yet and this is my first "electrical adventure" and I don't want to fry anything. Any help with which wire to splice into would be appreciated. Thanks. Zippo
Orange with a white stripe is switched power. I would think that is what you want here. That comes off of a 15 amp fuse and you'd need to make sure that this won't draw too much. Did the instructions provide any suggestions at all? Seems like you could pull this power and ground from off the tail light connector also.
Thanks. Yes I want to connect it to the tailight. Do you know which wire that is? Congratulations again on the springer front end. That will be a future project. I am just finishing off my spring mounted seat right now.

Geez, I just noticed you're in the Ocala National Forest. I'm an Ocala native . . . born and raised. I live north of Tampa now. Sometime we should meet somewhere and you can check out the springer first-hand. There was quite a bit of hacking required and I can tell you where the challenges are.
Kevin, sounds great. I would love to see how you engineered that. Ocala native, small world. I live in Salt Springs on Lake Kerr. I left the "real world" about 9 years ago for a more laid back lifestyle and work in Ocala. 32 mile easy commute each way through the woods.
