Default installing Heavy Breather - cable left over. what is this?

I just finished installing the SE Heavy Breather. When I finished.. I noticed I had a cable dangling. I forgot I initially unhooked that from the inside of the football. What is it, and where does it go?

Sorry for my ignorance...

it gets cable-tied out of the way where you can just forget about it forever... that's where it goes.

if you can find where it plugs in you get an extra 20 horsepower.

Just kidding. I think it is some California emissions thing that the rest of use tuck away.

That's what I figured.. just double checking that I was missing something stupid. I could tell it served no purpose being plugged in to the football.

+1 on the emissions thing. My mechanic saw it hanging there when he changed my pipes and had removed my air cleaner box . Never seen that before was his reply. from what I can tell its not good for much but wire tying up.

I wondered the same thing when I installed my Heavy Breather last week. I decided it was useless

There is a plastic cover for it that clips to the original breather. I put it back on the end to protect it, not sure if you still have yours

There should be an eliminator plug in the end of it i.e. no exposed terminals. If its not there and it was plugged into something on the old A/C then you have (for some reason) the international model with the active air cleaner and do need to fit an eliminator plug or the ECU will spot its missing and throw codes.

Small piece two sided tape and stick it to the back of the air cleaner.
