Had the dealer install the Screamin' Eagle A/C, Vance and Hines slip-ons, and do the download. Haven't had much of a chance to ride yet, but I can really feel the difference. It takes a whole lot less throttle to get the same response as before.
I thought the pipes might be a little too loud, but it took about 5 minutes to really like the sound. (My wife likes the sound, too. She wants the cagers to know that I am coming).
Thanks again everyone for your advice.
Looks like bags or a seat (or both) are next. I hope that kid of mine remembers me at Christmas.
Oh man Im jelous. lol. grats! I just bought some used V&H slip ons and am waiting shipment info. Do they sound way better then stock or is it just a slight improvment?
Congrats Joe,
Does your wife ride with you? If she does you might want to consider a saddleman deep bucket seat and a padded backrest. If you get the backrest, harley makes some nice tail bags that come right off and can be used as luggage. To me it's a cleaner look then the saddlebags and I think you can fit more in them.
Love your choice of colors....Why do you think my screen name is Rooti (rooti rootbeer)
Have the same V&H slip ons my sgc but stock ac and no down load and it sounds good and has more power also. By the way mufflers had cats in them so pipes run cooler.

Enjoy that nice ride....
Unfortunatley, my wife had knee surgery two weeks ago. With her knee and back problems, she is unavble to ride with me, although we both enjoy it.
I had a Mustang Wide Vintage Seat on my Spirit 750, and then bought an ACE Tourer, so we could ride two up.
But, she finally has given up riding, so I got the FXDC to have something a little more fun to ride alone.
Looks like I may get a convertible, and take her in rides with that...but the SuperGlide is my time!
