Default Harley LED fuel gauge

I searched the forum but couldn't find anything. Has anyone seen, or have any experiance with the Harley black led fuel gauge? I think it would look cool on the bike, just wondering how it looks all hooked up and if it was hard to install. Thanks

I have it on my bike it looks great, the blue led's very visible during the day.

the hook up is easy just follow the instructions that come with them or download the instructions from here: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

Yup! I had the bike out today, 99 degrees and the sun was blinding, the LED's were very easy to see.

I fitted it, along with the combo tacho/speedo (74723-10). The fuel LEDs work fine and its an easy fit.

However there's a new tacho/speedo available now: 70900072. This has a fuel gauge built in that gives a more granular reading than the LED cap. Wish I'd gone with that and some nice stainless filler caps with no gauge in at all.

The fuel caps were an easy install and seem to work great. I have only had mine on a couple months but no issues. I also have the tach/speedo coming with the fuel gauge built in (7090072). I guess I will have a number of ways to track my fuel level.

i have em and love them... my gas light does turn on after about a lil over 1/2 the tank is done, but i still have about another 75 miles to go, i usually will run her till i have 3 lighs on then pull over fer gas
you can see here the lights are just under 1/2 and the fuel light is on. hahaha

I've ridden mine till I had one light. It's risky but so far she has proven really accurate. At 1 light, I'm just under a half gallon of fuel. Installation is simple. And given that i live in a seaside community, I loaded the innards with dielectric. Grease to avoid any potential for watter damage, or salt corrosion..
