Does anyone have any recommendations for an "off brand" or discounted place to get a quick detach backrest set up? I don't want to drop $500 for the Harley setup with the brackets mounts and backrest.
the Haulen *** is a really nice back rest too, It's easy on and easy off
and gives passengers a little extra confidence when on the back.
just remember its not a sissybar so for long trips you will probably need the
Harley parts
I searched on here and ebay for the detachable back rest for my Fat Bob for a while. Nothing. Caved in and bought it from Harley. Cost me less than I thought. "Only" $375.

Same thing here. I searched EBay as well and nothing for my 2010. Went into j&p cycle and they had 1 option, non HD and it cost more! I was shocked and asked him to recheck his pricing. Nope that was it. He told me typically aftermarket parts like that are usually cheaper through HD.
I bought mine here in like new condition for $150 shipped. Not bad, eh?
That is great. My bike is a 2010 Fat Bob and the parts are a bit different than the 2008-2009. I found plenty of them much cheaper, but could not find my parts that cheap. Had to buy new.
