I use the mapquest app and wear ear buds. I used to have a charger on my bike, but now i just carry a Mophie. Works great, I can't imagine looking at the navigation screen while riding.

Oh yea, and phone goes in my jacket/pants pocket.

I've also bought some cheap "touch screen gloves" cut off the tips and have glued them onto my riding gloves

Velcro on the back of a Lifeproof case, velcroed to my dash. Ear buds if I need turn by turn.

It makes it easy to grab and snap pics while riding.

I use this, road from MD to the Deals gap and back with it mounted to my handle bars between the risers, never had an issue at all.

IMHO the only way to go is the Ram mount. Been using them for years now - would and have trusted them with very expensive equipment. Never an issue.

I use a Lifeproof weather resistant case and Lifeproof handlebar mount on my left bar. I have a Belkin Tunecast FM interface so the iPhone plays through my radio and the lighter plug has a USB receptacle to keep my phone charged. I use reusable tie wraps to keep things neat.

This gives me turn by turn voice navigation, moving maps, satellite radio, my iTunes, phone, email and internet, which comes in handy for restaurant and motel reviews when I'm on the road. Excluding the phone, that's a $150 answer to a question not all riders are asking! Most of the time I ride without this stuff or even turning on the radio but for long distances on the slab it does help pass the time.

Get Google maps and a bluetooth headset. Then keep it in your inside jacket pocket. It'll still play tunes and bounce back and forth between maps and tunes. That's what I do. I've got Verizon and an Android Bionic
