I have one on my FXDI35 and like it. Have also rode without while the clamps were being fixed on the winshield and had no problem. For short trips no windshield is great, but on longer trips and in colder weather, it sure is nice to have it. My bike looks good with or without it, especially with me on it.

Yeah,I can live with a windshield, make a few eight hundred mile days without one and tell me how much fun you had.

And,sorry,I skipped page two and three.

Good Luck

I have a windshield on my Bob. I use a windshield on the freeway, because at freeway speeds I don't like to feel like I am being blown off the bike. Sure it looks better without one, but it works for me. People do lots of things to their bikes to make them comfortable. Some of the super thick comfortable seats and sissy bars also don't look that good on a Bob, but people use them because it makes the riding experience better for them. Whatever helps you to get out and ride.

Yep.Got the windvest on most all the time.I ride a 50 mile round trip to work most days.Cuts the wind but it's small enough that it doesn't screw with the looks to bad.

HD Quick Detatchable Sport Windshield on my Bob, it is nice when it is rainy, cold, and commuting to and from work. But around home on my days off it is off.

Do I like to looks of my Bob with out it - Yes
Do I like the fact that with it on it stops the wind blasting on to my chest and allowing a more comfortable ride on the highway - Yes

Bottom line I vote for function over looks

I know it violates all that is right in the world, but I went with the H-D Quick Release Detachable Compact Windshield (#58348-06) for my FXDBI. Same reasons as the others - highway speed, bad weather, etc. It leaves no hardware on the bike and takes only seconds on or off. Not true to the bobber ideal, but it works for me.
