I've run Metzeler ME880's on my WG for over 100,000 miles.
Never had a problem with the rear - which are radials and are made in Germany.
Have had issues, along with my friends, on several of the front Metzeler's which are now made in Brazil. One was out of round causing the front wheel to bounce - my brother had the same issue, another developed a large bubble in the tread after only a few thousand miles. It may be only on the 21" tires.
I have yet to have a real preoblem with Dunlops. My first set lasted well beyond what others have reported. My last front gave me some issued but I can't fully blame the tire. 2 weeks Jaron, beer, friends and riding!

I'm going to try Avon next.
Wow good to know. Maybe I'll hit up Avon's then. I've heared they run better up here in the rain anyways. In one of my other thread someone was telling me Avon's have a multi tread that he loves.

great you got it figure out...and I second go avon...should I actually find the time to ride my bike enough to wear my metz down(LOL), I'm going avon next too. I had a front metz that was horrible and needed to be replaced (warranty). Brand new tire and it need a dangerous amount of weights to balance it. The new one is fine though.
That's some very good info to have, Jaron. I'll have to commit that info to memory.
A few weeks back while I was in Dirty Jersey, I happened to be on the highway when a rigid custom came onto the roadway. He passed me quickly (I was driving my pickup). I watched his back tire wobble and sway back and forth. It had to be scary as heck to ride your (Jaron) bike and that rigid. I wonder if that guy had a radial on his as well.

The jacked up part is that the roadsmart was wearing really well despite the wobbles. I had over 3k miles on and it was still round and still looked like new. Outside of that the tire sucked ***!!

Who knows, but as Rick said above I was riding with him when I found out about the wobble and he couldn't believe what he was seeing my bike do. The entire bike used the whole lane. It wasn't like a shimmy. The entire bike went side to side and all I was doing was going straight. It would just say hello I'm here now hold on tight....lol!!
For those future Avon purchasers it was the Avon Storm II that was the dual compound. Sumpnut was saying he loves this tire and wears well. For the front he runs a Avon venom.

At first I thought you were trying to make it happen, had no idea that was involuntary!
I run avon venoms , if you want to die in the rain , its the tire for you. I'm so gunshy now its stupid in the rain....they are coming off shortly. had them for 2 years now , front is dry rotting to boot.I'd take dunlop back over them
