Mostly it's kinda slow and too expensive to make fast.Right now I have a Thunderheader, SE intake, and DFO. It's a little quicker than stock, loud as hell, and backfires like an out of tune lawnmower.I have a SERT on order and plan on getting it dynotuned as soon as it comes in.There are some things I like about it, It's still the most comfortable and best looking bike I've ever owned but that's it.Kind of like a pretty girl that makes you feel good while she emptys your bank account.

Ed yo sound like a commie lol. You should get rid of the harley if your not happy we only want happy riders in our ranks lol.
LOL Hey that commie comment hurt. I'm slightly to the right of Rush Limbaugh politically and have been since the sixth grade.I know that everybody else here has been thrilled with thier Harley Davidson product from day one that's why nobody ever changes anything on them right?
wow, to bad no one told you,a harley is not about speed <g>
ORIGINAL: SPECIAL ED
what don't you like about it?

I understand what Ed's saying. I bought my first (Harley 2007 Super Glide) this summer and I was a little disappointed. I just sold my 2006 Suzuki SV650 bike (just about a perfect starter sport bike but ugly) and the vibration of the FXD was surprising to me. I knew Harleys shook, just not that much. My feet go to sleep setting on the pegs. The bike was so lean it surged. I learned to put only my boot heels on the pegs and bought a PC III USB. The PC took care of the surging (money well spent-it stays). I really liked the 2007 "96" engine sound with the re-designed mufflers but wanted it a little louder. I put on V&H Straight Shots and found they are too loud. I'm going back to stock mufflers. I added Arlen Ness "Big Sucker" air cleaner and will probably keep that on.
Mostly, it's getting use to a slower, cruising, beautiful, bike and just riding it and enjoying it.
Probably where I make my mistake is where I see something that I want, but worried about spending the extra $$$, so I pick option 2, only to buy what I really want when I am not happy with option 2
did that with the pipes and the bars..now I have what I want (and an extra set of pipes and bars)
You should only get vibes in the pegs at idol not while riding AS MUCH the engine is rubbermounted. I was told Dynas are real smooth??
I was told that, also. Not true. The pegs and bars buzz pretty good. I asked the dealer tech at 1k oil change if mine's normal, and of course, he said it was.
I'm not complaining, I love the sounds, handling, and ride of the bike. Plus, it's very nice looking.
Same here, Toyrider. That's why I bought the Suzuki this spring instead of the Harley. I've always wanted a Harley but didn't want to spend that much money on one. After I rode the Suzuki for 2000 miles I realized I should have bought the Harley. Not that the Suzuki SV650 is not a great bike, it is. It's just not what I really wanted.
