I just bought Red Line 80w motorcycle gear oil with shockproof for my transmission. However, I'm reading that this is for sportsters. The regular Redline Tranny Oil is rated at 90w, so is there that much of a difference? Will I be OK running the 80w in my 10 Wide Glide? Thanks for the input!
Jon
ps. don't want to start a "what kind of fluids are you running" thread and get a thousand different answers! Just need an answer to this question! Thanks!
Man that's pretty heavy stuff, I was running Amsoil 75-90 in my 07 WG, and it was some
really heavy shifting, and harder to find neutral, I went back to 20-50 in all three holes,
much smoother. Did you go on the Redline website to see what they say? maybe send
those guy's an e-mail and see what they say, hope this helps, and good luck to you
