No doubt they are great, they're flat out rad from what I've seen...and I planned on buying some...but after how well I think these turned out, and how cheap the mod was... I'll probably save my $ for motor work right now. Oh, and Michapop...your bike is awesome!
Here are quite a few other options if you want a bit larger platform and much more comfortable pegs (they can adjust while riding) that still have a good grip.
Thanks DK...I actually have a set of the old "bear trap" BMX pedals I was gonna use, but I kinda like the size of these for now...if anything I might pick up a set of your "Stealth" pedals...those are rad
If someone sits on my bike without permission, they would be lucky to get a bear trap...what about a tazer built into the seat? darts and 50k volts right in some morons ***...hmmmmmmmm
So, the other day I saw a picture of the Joker Machine pegs on a dyna and thought they looked great. The price isn't bad for the quality of machine work your getting, but I had the idea to try and modify regular dirtbike pegs to fit the dyna mids. I went on Ebay and ordered some pegs for a CRF450R...they showed up today. I didn't anticipate them being cast steel (not that it really matters for how I modified them), however for the price ($10 I think) I didn't care. I used an angle grinder to cut the tube like section off mounting portion of the peg (see pics) and then ground it .125" thinner. I think they turned out good and I'm happy...feel free to tell me they are ugly or look cheap though They're definitely not as trick as the Joker Machine pegs...just better suited for my budget
Looks really good. I have similar ones from RSD and love them. Comfortable, good looking and no slip at all.
I had someone on facebook tell me they thought about this idea before, but thought they would have TOO much grip...not being a smartass at all, but how can/would you have too much grip? It takes a little getting used to positioning your feet as you can't just slide them all around, but to me I feel a bit more connected to the bike. I suppose for a little less grip you could file/grind down the teeth a bit
