Default reflector removal

I have already removed the reflectors on my lower fork tubes but need some input on the rear reflectors. What is the best way to remove and clean the reflectors off of the sides of the rear fender? My 2009 dyna has gloss paint. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Use your girl friends hair dryer, it won't hurt the paint and softens the glue so you can just roll it off with yur fingers. Does the same on the stickers!

Heat in the sun or with a hair dryer, then use fishing line. Goo be Gone and several other cleaners will remove sticky residue. There are several threads on this subject, try a search for more ideas. Welcome to the forum.

It's been covered on a weekly basis here.

Just heat it with a heat gun or hair dryer and use dental floss or whatever to slice it off. Follow up with Goo Gone, turpentine or whatever.

So you don't have to go out and buy something extra like Goo Gone or Peels, just use something you and most others should already have around the house...WD-40 and a little elbow grease after removing the reflector with the hair dryer and dental floss or really thin fishing line.

True, but Goo Gone at the Dollar Store just costs a penny over 99 cents, lasts for a long time and works way better than WD-40, no elbow grease required, just apply and wipe off.

I used to be an advocate of gum turpentine for all sticky goo removal, but Goo Gone is actually way better. WD-40 is a distant third.

That may be true but, if lives out in the country in Montana (not saying he does but you never know) and the closest Dollar store is a long ways away, but he already has a can of the WD-40 he uses around the ranch, why make a long trip into town, why not just use the WD. Just saying....

I used some ten pound test fishing line on mine before I reinstalled them on the sides of my fender supports. After that I took some mineral spirits to remove the glue off the fender. It took a little mild rubbing, but mineral spirits will not damage your clear coat.

Thanks for the responses. I have some Goo gone. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to hurt the paint job. Thanks again.
