My personal opinion is that the harley download doesn't do much and is overpriced. If you are on a tight budget then go to nightrider.com and order the XEID's for 100 bucks. It will give you all the fuel you need for the upgrades. If you aren't on a budget and you plan on doing more work on the motor in the future invest in the new power commander tuner.

I personally only wanted to do exhaust and intake and the XEID's I would highly recomend for your upgrades or just a bike right off the showroom with no upgrades.

It's a 15 minute install and will really cool down the motor and give it that extra umphhhh

It depends what you plan on doing in the future to your bike.

personally, I wouldn't waste money on the Stg 1 download. It's $150 that you could put towards a fuel management system, which would allow it to grow as your bike grows (engine mods; intake, big bore, cams, heads, exhaust).

100 people will have 100 different opinions on which one is the best.

Take some time and research all of the available devices.

Some of them include:
Mastertune TTS ($400 or so)
Thundermax w/auto-tune ($800 or so)
Powercommander V (auto-tune module is add-on to this. total cost $700+)
SEPST (Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner)

I do not recommend the Vance and Hines Fuelpak since it's not easily tuneable.

There are many others that all have their pluses and minuses.

So Emerican, You got them and installed them with no problem? Were you surprised how easy it was? Did you feel a performance increase? Did you feel like the motor ran cooler.

I'm not a spy but was tempted to call the owner and see if he had any freebies to give me since I've pushed his product so hard. I was just surprised how well they worked for what they are. It's not often that a product works better then the hype.

Did you cruise up sunrise hwy yet to Julian?

07 and above efi bikes don't need the download but many people will continue to shell out for it. Get the xied's.

the grants82 is correct, many don't realize that. But even if you do nothing to your bike at all, you need to richen up the mixture since it runs dangerously lean from the factory due to EPA regulations.

Rooti it's pretty funny, the Big Sucker and XIED's came in the same day. Big sucker was 20 minutes, and the XIED's were even quicker than i thought. I took off the seat and the wires were right on top, no digging around at all. Just as you said, plug n play.

I called up Father-In-Law for a ride, we met up in Jamul, drove out east and somehow popped up on Sunrise highway and then through Julian. Completely unplanned but i thought of you telling me to head out there. It was a great ride but I scraped my Rinehart's for the first time Oh well, had to happen sometime! But yes, much smoother ride, better accel and a bit more power. Not bad for $99!
