I had a Sears that I think had a similar but different plug. Instead of putting a custom plug on the bike, I bought the H-D one for $20odd and gave the Sears to my bro for his car. When he sold the car, he passed it on to our bud Andy for his metric.

hi lamar,
i have the hd battery tenders and they come with two types of clips.you install the on and plug your battery tender when you need it.i work at sea and i leave my fatboy and superglide for a month at a time.never had any problems,to run my alarm systems.they work real good and only supply,s power as needed to battery,no overcharging.

The wire harness that attaches to your battery terminals is $7.95 from the HD dealer.
some dealers install them for free on new bikes, some don't
on my last 2 Harleys one dealer had it already on when I picked up my new bike
the next dealer did not have one on when I picked up my new bike
any company that "battery tender" manufactures will fit....also be advised there are different harnesses
one has 3 wires one that I know of has 2 wires....the 3 wire will work with the battery tender also
I don't know the different applications for the 2 & 3 wire setup...check with your HD parts guy
I know there will be other forum guys that know why the 2 different harnesses are used

That charger you got from Wal-Mart that fits the dealer installed 3 hole plug, do you happen to have a part number.
I checked the Wal-Mart web site with no luck.
That is one store I really like to avoid the just going to look. I like to go in and get what I went in for and get out quick. [:@]
