Just got my Baker Hi Torque bearing - indeed an NSK 6205Z, but the inner race HAS been honed out to be about 0.985" , about 1.5 th less than the normal bearing. Unless you have a precision honing machine or several hours with a brake honer (not gonna be accurate) maybe save the aggro and buy the one from Baker.
btw I wouldn't buy it from Pwrsprts Prts, because these clowns sit on your order for a whole week before they decide to ship anything - unless you have time??
Wow, bringing back an old thread. I did end up going the route of getting Harley to swap out the cases on their dime. That was the recommendation of my local Indy shop that would have sold me the Baker bearing.
I always feel you're getting valuable advice when the guy giving it is actually talking himself out of selling you something.
The new cases have been in there about 18 months now and so far everything is good.
