Street Bob Tail Light
My bike build has been real slow due to my new business and my day job etc.... But I finally had a little time to make some (small) progress. I cut off and machined down the license plate bracket that is casted into the 09 and up SB tail light. I know the light is not a fan favorite, but I like it. I just didn't like the bracket hanging below it. Well after a few hours, it is gone and here is what's left. I will get some pics of it mounted tomorrow.

Looks good! I may have to look into doing this myself. I'm just not real sure about the whole light in general though, yet. Looking into other options too, but there doesn't seem to be much out there...

Looks better than stock, but I would say I (hate) the look of that light and short fender, but that being said still a great great bike, also wish I had the range function on the speedo on my '07 like the '09 and newer have.

I have always loved the old Sparto style lights, but HD ruined this one with the monster bracket. The whole light/bracket is cast as one piece, but as long as you cut carefully and take your time, it can be removed with no trace. If you like the contrast of the chrome, you could always polish the cut areas when done, and it would be barely noticable.

Someone else did this a while back. It really improves the look of the light if you're a fan of the sparto light. I took mine off and shaved the fender, now I'm changing to a superglide fender.
