Brand new 103 Dyna leaking oil...help!

Default Brand new 103 Dyna leaking oil...help!
I just bought my 1st Harley in years, a 2012 Wide Glide with the 103. I have 250 miles on it and noticed this morning oil seeping at the base of both cylinders on the clutch side and a large (3 inch down) seep from the wire coming out of the front of the motor right next to the oil filter. Is this normal on a new Harley during break in or should I bring it in?? Help!!

Take it in, it's under warranty. Should not be leaking oil.

Take it back to the dealer, it should be cover under warranty.

Brand new I would think it might be assembly lube. Just a thought. But like others said use your warrenty. Thats what its for.

If they have to tear that motor down, they may be willing to put in a new cam for no labor. I had the same problem on my 07 96", and the tech told me they were tearing it down, and if I bought a cam they would install it. Still kicking myself for not doing it, as it would have been covered under warranty and would have been under $300 total.

I had the same thing happen on a 2011 Super Glide. My problem was assembly oil. Spray the areas with a degreaser and if your lucky that will be the end of it. If not, back to the dealer.

I had this same issue with my new 2009 Street Bob, case was cracked and leaking oil out of this area. They had to take then engine apart and replace the case, good luck and make sure its not cracked.
