Does anyone here know if a set of headers off of a newer fat bob or wide glide will fit an 06 Street Bob?Also wonder if a complete exhaust off a TC 96 will fit a TC 88? That is an 06 FI TC 88 with O2 sensors.
Yes they will fit, the mounts may be different, the pipes in my sig pic are off a newer Fat Bob, all I had to do was weld up a new mount where I wanted it.
The difference is the trans mount, the bolt pattern on the bracket is different between the 5 and 6 speeds. If both are 6 speeds it should bolt right up without mods.
That's exactly what I needed to hear. I noticed the headers on the Fat Bob and Wide Glide are suspiciously similar to my Thunderheader. I might want to pick up a set cheap to play with.By the way the 06 Dynas all had the six speed so if there's no other difference it'll bolt straight up.
There is info on my web site about fabrication of the 2-1 out of the FB pipes. I wanted to make my statement broad enough for those that did not have an 06.
Good luck, post some pics when done.
