for those who have put on a new cc seat, is there a trick to it? trying to put one on 07 bob (solo seat).
seems like the 2 square rubber pieces on fender gettin in the way of lettin the seat go down all the way, do i take these off?
tks for the heads up! ok now i got my seat to fit but there is a small gap 1/4 inch from rear of seat to the frame. is this normal or do i need to muscle it down flush?
for example my seat screw is tightened about mid way of the slot.
Make sure you wedge that tongue under the gas tank piece real well. There's a sweet spot where the seat will sit pretty flush. It's not a perfect fit, but, pretty dang close.
I've used my C&C seat for about 6 months with at least 10K on it. I found that the break in period lasted a little over a week where it did settle into the frame and softened enough to be comfortable on long hauls. Hang in there and you'll be really happy with the seat's performance.
