Curious if anyone has done away woth their front turning signals? I hate the look of them on my bars relocating them looks ok but still not great. Here in MN its not illegal to use hand sigs instead so not worried about tickets. I would like to remove the front keep the rears and signal by hand when needed. My queston now id can I just disconnect the male/female connectors clip the wires and the bars pull out the wire in bars and be done with it? Would there be any problems with doing this? I understand it not the safest thing to do but I don't ride at night much if at all so not worried about extra visability and as I said hand sigs are no prob. Thanks for the input in advance. I do knoe the rear sigs will flash faster due to the load but I have no problem with that.
I would assume that you would need a load equalizer after removing the front sigs from the circuit. I had a bulb go out on my 11 WG and it made the back sigs blink really fast until a new one was installed. I hate the sigs on my bars so I'm just gonna relocate them to the trees until I can get some Joker Machine LEDs.
All the stockers are good for is denting the gas tank. Is they a way to shorten them up closer to the brake level? I remenber seeing a post about that before but I'm unable to find it now. Yes I used the search feature.
I was thinking about relocating the to the fwd controls myself looks nice. I am actaully suprised no one runs with out the front sig and or rear sigs many people around here (MN) go without them being it is legal to do. I am still kind of weighing the options.
Unplug them and see what yours does, mine flashed fast the first time I tried them but I shut the key off and tried them later they flash like they are supposed to so mine are off.
I ran with no front signals when I had my Night Train, along with some dinky *** LEDs on the back. And I ain't gonna lie...every time I rode at night and had to make a left turn with oncoming traffic..was nerve racking.
I love the clean look though without blinkers...so I say if you like the adrenaline rush every time you may get plowed into by an oncoming car...go for it
