Default cycle vison bare back mount question

hey I just bought the cycle vision bare back mount.

BareBacks CV145

Quick Overview

06-UP Dynas with detachable sissy bar

Do I have to have the hardware for the detach sissy bar or do I just need the detach sideplates and it would attach to this?

you need the HD Detachable Hardware... this cyclevision mount provides bolts that are long enough to accommodate the detachable hardware!

+1. The issue I had when mounting the barebacks AND the detachable hardware was that it spaced the bags so far out I couldn't take the look. The bags looks terrible (to ME) when spaced way out from the bike. Now I just bolt my bags on and off along with the detachable hardware when the bags are needed.

Well I hope I dont mind the look to much.

Im wondering since these bags have there own hard mount system will it fit easily with the bare backs?

Im sure itll work, but then its down to looks...

The hard mount system for these bags looks like a support bracket and some bolts. The bolts go thru the bags and into the fender... He bareback system will replace each bolt with two shorter bolts that clip together - one screws thru the bracket and the bag, the other into your fender strut

It'll make a lot more sense when the barebacks show up, until i seen the kit in person I wasn't too sure what to expect... Let us know how you get on!

well ive hit a road block. I have the bare backs and the bags. but the female mount on the bare back is to short to go through the vertical support on the willie and max saddle bag. I have no idea on how to make it work. Im going to wait for my dad to get home. see what he can come up with.

Well I couldnt wait for the paps to come home so I did it myself. I had to cut down the vertical mounts on the bags so the bolt would fit thru. I cut about 1/2" with a sawzall. one was cut a lil shorter than the rest but a washer fit the bill for the gap issue. After drilling the holes and fitting it i'd say it fits pretty good. Kind of a bitch to get on and off but atleast she aint gonna fall off IMO.
