Hi all,
New to Forum and thought I better share....
Picked up my new FLD about a month ago. Purchased a bike cover. Supplied me with a Medium and low and behold....the FL type bags seem to big for it. It sat at work for 30 hours while I was out of town and the cover rubbed the paint of the lid on the right rear corner. I gave HD the benefit of the doubt and the next trip I made sure I placed cover on properly with enough slack as not to rub. Didn't help, more damage. Called dealer and they'll run it through warranty...not anyone's fault..just alot of newness with this product. Buy the large cover if your in need of one. Pete
I don't cover my bike either because of that reason. I'd rather dust off my bike then worry about scratches.
Last week I saw a guy trailering is HD in a flat bed trailer with a cover. I bet he's going to hate the outcome of that. He was going over 60 on the freeway and that cover was flapping like crazy.
Plus I ride to work almost everyday and I don't have the patients to cover and uncover everyday. In the winter I just throw a fleece blanket over it.
