Weekend Trip
Sunday morning, up around The Valley of Enchantment on Highway 138, it gets pretty tight, and my buddy and I both slid out in some sand on the same turn. Neither of us went down, but in his efforts to stay upright, my buddy hit a big rock that was in the road, and got his Ninja airborne. I missed seeing his front wheel hit the rock, but I came out of the turn just in time to see his rear tire hit it. It launched the rear end of his bike about a foot in the air and almost as much to the right which put him in a mini tank slapper. Luck, God, or whatever was on his side because he pulled it out just in time to lean it over for the next turn. We stopped at the next wide spot to check out his bike and let him change his shorts. The rest of the trip was less eventful, and all in all it was a great trip.
Just thought I'd share.
