Did you put those chrome covers on or is that just the light?
Yes. They're covers. They slip on over the shocks. Cost about $70. I got them from Bruiser's Inc. I was going to include the link to their site, but it appears to be a dead end.

I have a set, just haven't decided to put them on or not. Do they move around, rattle or otherwise do anything annoying? Have you removed one after its been on a while? - I was thinking they would probably wear the paint off the shock body, maybe some double sided tape would prevent that.

I mounted mine permanently with blue RTV silicone. I used enough to be sure that no water could get in, and pulled the covers tight around the shock body with some wire ties until the RTV cured.
I bought the newer versions also because they can handle more adjustability. I just used the schrader valves on each individual shock...easy to get too and works well for me.
I keep the air pump in my bags and at 30 to 35lbs. it works well for me (180lbs) solo and also 2 up with my girl...combined of about 310.
