Default Engine mods and gas mileage

I currently have a Stage 1 and PC III and since I added those I've noticed I'm not getting the mpg I used to. I'm considering doing a 95" big bore kit and was wondering how that affects fuel mileage?

The reason why is you are using a richer mixture, going to the 95" might have you using more.

If your bike is properly tuned, you shouldn't loose much, if any mpg but should have better performance.

I'm getting better mileage after my 95 Stage IV than I did with an 88 stage I . I've got almost 8000 miles and it's consistent. I get 45-48 normal , and if I lay back on mellow roads have gotten as high as 50.3 . This is with 98hp and 100 lbs ft. The trick is match components and a good dyno tune

Dynarider, All Dynojet map are tuned for max power. To increase fuel economy highlight between 2000-4000 rpm / 5-40 percent throttle with a computer, preferably a laptop. The area highlighted is where you can increase fuel economy. Take the highest value in the 2000-4000 / 5-40 percent area highligted and the lowest. then split the difference. If the highest is +20 and the least is -5, you have a difference of 25. Half is 12.5, so round down (because we are decreasing fuel) to 12. Drop that highlighted area by 12. This will increase your fuel economy. Remember 0 is stock (0 stage 1 download, if installed). Ride the bike and check plugs. If you have a lean spot or hesitataion, watch what rpm and work on that area only. If you have decel "pop" highlight 0 percent throttle from 2000-redline and put -10 to start. This will "shut off" fuel injectors when throttle is chopped at these rpms. Any lower that 1500 will affect idle. All injectors have a "bleed off" that still delivers fuel when throttle is chopped, thus lowers fuel economy. If you still have pop increase this number -15 and so on until gone. Don't exceed -50. Engine mods mean your engine is becoming more efficient and doesn't always need more fuel.

The best gas milege i have gotten was 45.3. I got this milege twice, once with my bike stock and the other time after i put on a hypercharger, vance and hines and did a sert on the dyno. I was averaging 75-80 when i got that milege. I usually average 40 city highway mix, and have gotten as low as 35 mpg but that was all around town with short trips going the 3 mile round trip to work and back.
