I've chatted with both these companies about their full LED kit for my 07 Bob (front/rear sigs, laydown rear lens and r-t-b module) and the difference is about $100...
They both seem like great companies to deal with and I cant tell if there's much difference in the quality
can anyone share an opinion or two on which is best kit and why?
Tough call. The round LED inserts for my signals were from Biker Hiway and were made by Radiantz and they are BRIGHT! I have LED tube strips from Custom Dynamics and they are made by TruFLEX. My r/b/t module/load equalizer came from J&P and it's a Badlands.
I don't know why, but the Badlands unit causes ALL of my lights to flash and continue flashing after I shut the bike off. I have to either shield my fob or take it out of range to get the flashers to quit. This is really a nuisance when I'm gassing up the bike or working on it a home and just turn on the ign switch.
I added the RBT module, equalizer, and LED clusters from Custom Dynamics back in June. So far I've been very pleased with them. Shipping was super quick, installation was a breeze, and they are insanely bright. I've been hit from behind before, so I'm very observant of people coming up behind me while I'm stopped at traffic lights/signs. I keep my brake lights activated until the person behind me comes to a stop. Since I've added the LED clusters, I've noticed alot of people are leaving a car length of distance between me and them. Only reason I can figure is that the lights are so annoyingly bright that they leave some distance. Plus they work well for backing off tailgaters. No experience with Badlands, but from what I've read here they have a good reputation. Hope this helps.
