THis may sound odd, but is that for any Dyna or just the Street Bobs?
I have a '10 SGC and was wondering about this as something to do over the winter...

After having a flat tire on rear with 160, I'll never get a wider one. It was very difficult to roll the bike and probably would have impossible if I'd had the 180 that would have fit.

couldn't be 100% sure, but I suppose that the Dynas from the same years have the same swingarms !

I realize that few people will care but - a wider tire makes the bike handle less quickly. You can lay-over a narrow tire in a curve much more easily. Of course, if you are into the low look etc etc, this is not relevant. You cant lay it over much anyway without dragging something.

Wider tires are practical when you wanna handle increased power without breaking traction or shreading a narrow tire. That's why the big japanses bikes all developed into the fat tires that people are trying to emulate. In their case it was not as much for looks as for providing traction for laying down the high horsepower developed by the bikes.

Not completely necessary. My FXR, EVO 80" StageIV, 95rwhp, would run high 11's in the quarter in a perfect pass. Yea it would break the 150 tire loose if I didn't launch just right, but the bigger tire/wheels also increase rotating mass and rob hp.
