Not sure wat all you have replaced.but right around 25k to 30k miles it is recommended to replace lifters and i would also recommended installing self adjusting push rods.dont know if any of this will be helpfull to you.good luck
That is the way it sounds. It's not the lifters. Seriously doubt it the rocker shaft moving either. Mine does it at 45K and those shafts are tight. I sure can't hear it at speed at that rpm however for the wind. I can hear it at idle or sitting still at 3000. It hurts nothing. If you put a two ear stethoscope on it, bet you hear no tapping, just a smooth whirr. Muzzle the exhaust with a heavy cotton rag and most will disappear. I think it is mostly piston slap and exhaust resonating. OF COURSE, THIS IS JUST MY OPINION BASED ON WHAT I HEAR IN MINE AND OTHER STOCK TC88s. SURE CAN'T HEAR YOURS. IF YOU HAVE EVER HEARD A LIFTER THAT HAS LEAKED DOWN OR HAS TRASH IN IT, YOU WILL THINK THE MOTOR IS COMING APART. Adjustable pushrods are not necessary for a stock cam.

But the " sewing machine" sound that exists at 2400-3000 rpm is still there.
That is exactly the symptom of rocker shaft noise.
Someone go find this guy
