Default dragging primary

Anyone else drag their primary? I'm wondering how much I have to go before I run a hole in it? I am attempting to make a small skid plate like the one I made on my thunderheader but if anyone knows if they already exist ill save my time. I've got 13.5" shocks on it so it can't go much higher. Here is a pic of the damage so far and one of my pipe skid plate. There might already be a thread on this, so sorry, but I am lazy.

When I had the factory exhaust on, I was dragging it all the time. Haven't drug the 2-1 yet, or the primary. I do have flat spots on both of my boots though. Mine is also lowered 1" front and back.

Dude! I've never ridden a Dyna so I don't know how easily they scrape, but from the looks of those pics you've got some pretty big *****!

I have scraped on my Softail Duece in the past, but not lately. It seems as I get older I don't have the same urge to really lay it over anymore.

I've never scraped anything on my Limited.

Maybe you need yourself a Busa.

Would love a bubs raw 1 pipe....if I had the $$$. Think I'm still going to fabricate something up at work instead of doing work.

I left the sportbike world last year don't think ill go back for a while. The thing about those bikes is unless you race them on a track you will never find theirs or yours limit. Personally I feel more comfortable riding this dyna to its limit and staying well under mine. I like to call my style "spirited" riding.

I have to agree with you. Several years ago when I was in my 30s I had some track time on a Honda Interceptor. Those were fun times!

But now as I approach 60 years old, I still ride much faster than the typical 50-60 yr old Harley guy, but nowhere near they way I did in the past.

The thought of going down on a 900 lb. bike just doesn't appeal to me these days.

Have Fun!

Jangles, have you upgraded the suspension at all?
I went with Progressive front and rear and most of my "hard parts" dragging went away. Now the only thing I drag is my floorboards, and if you hear those behind you, I suggest you get out of the way.

The only suspension upgrade is the rear shocks off an FXDX. Would love some race tech drop ins and their gold valve emulators with some piggy back rear shocks but they require something I have a hard time parting with. $$$$$. The bike sits higher than stock by about 2" already. Trust me suspension is in my dreams currently.
