input?
So a few months ago dropped my 07 fxd ended up bending handlebars ( started going toto the rightother everytime i rode) and scratching a/c I supported most of the fall and so did my saddle bag anyway it happened after getting a new dunlop rear tire related or not Idk. Well changed out bars and has been riding great except recently not sure if its been extra windy in central tx lately or what but bike is being blown all over rode. Just wonder if it could be tire related or should I have it looked at by dealer even though its been a few months and miles since tire installed?

I guess my thought would be you should be able to tell if your being blown around (which would obviously be the wind causing it) or if your moving to the right or left due to alignment issues or something along those lines. I guess it depends on how hard it fell but you could have bent something if the front forks thats causing you issues I would doubt its a tire issue, if a tire was unbalanced it would be a wobble. Man thats tricky without actually riding it, might not be a bad idea to have the dealer or indy test ride it to see what they think. Just read your additional comment about the apes I would say that has alot to do with it. More air hitting you blowing you around vs drags, you turned yourself into a sail with the apes.
Even worse would be the rubber riser bushings combined with the apes creating way too much delay in transferring handlebar movement to the front tire. Put some poly bushings in there.
If you went down directly after replacing your rear tire, your accident could be related because tires are shipped with a lubricant to keep the rubber fresh. Every time I have had new tires installed, I always hear the same thing....give it a few miles before getting on it.
I usually try to swerve/lean hard back and forth like when the nascar drivers are trying to warm up their tires at the start of a race, except I am just trying to wear that thin coating off the tire.
As far as the apes, you're just not used to them. It does place you in a different position which opens you up to the wind more. Isn't that what it's about? Feeling the wind.
I would also hope that you should be able to know whether your bike is moving back and forth due to an alignment issue vs. the wind. Since you're the only one riding it, no way any one of us could tell you otherwise.
I'd also check your tire pressures as that will make your bike handle differently.
