I would luv to crawl around in the B-17
Looks like the later model, they had problems with German Fighters coming at them head on, so they added the extra guns in the front....
Yes, they are cool ...but that shark mouth paint job (bike) first appeared on the intake of the P40 Tomahawk, Warhawk, Kittyhawk made in pre WWII. It was made famous by Chaire Chennult's Flying Tigers. So in reality the bike, IMO, would look better in front of a similarly painted P40. Just saying.
Can anybody photoshop it together ?
Thats where the Hells Angels got thier name too, but how many pics are there of the HAMC with an old war bomber? can that be photoshopped? LOL
(Not disrespecting the HA)

Yeah, I know that. I wish I could just whistle up a P-40 for some pics. I searched around on the internet and found out that there's a restored one about 250 miles from here. I'm going to try to contact the owner and see if I can set up a pic opportunity. Unfortunately, my weekends are spoken for until early December, so I'm going to have to wait until next spring.

Yeah, it's a G model. Here's a few more pics for you.
Many years ago, when MCAS El Toro was still open, I attended their last air show. Among all the vintage airplanes that were present were a B-17 and a Heinkel-HE111. After the air show was over (next day) I helped a B17 crew get one of their tires pumped up to the proper air pressure. I had never been on a B17 before and I was surprised how cramped it was for everyone except the bombardier. The aircraft looks huge on the inside in the movies but it is just not so.
