The reason me Progressives blew (?)
After 5-6 months my first 430s were blown. Progressive only asked a couple of pics of the leaked oil and sent me news ones immediately!!
Bellow are some pics showing (probably) why they were blown. My new mechanic (THANKS STAMATIS !!) who installed them told me he had done the same thing in a couple of Dynas, before.
-- There is a point on the swing arm ( on the right), just where the lower part of the right shock is attached to (PIC1), which sticks out 3-4 millimeters MORE than the opposite point of the left side of the swing arm (PIC2).
--So when we attached only the lower part of the right shock , the upper part didn't lean on the spacer (on the strat) (PIC3). So Stamatis put 2 rings to cover the gap (PIC4). The previous guy (jerk) who used to fix my bike DID NOT do that, instead he pushed the upper part (against the spacer) to tighten the bolt. So i guess the right shock was kinda ...bent which caused it to blow (first).
-- We did the same thing (attach only the lower part) with a Burly's shock and the same thing happened.
Anyway i hope things are done right this time!

Wow now that is good information to have for the rest of us. Sorry it came at your expense - so to speak since Progressive ultimately paid for the mistake - but thanks man. I will definitely keep this in mind when and if I do new rears shocks, as they are a possibility for winter mods.
Glad you found a guy who had the solution and thanks for sharing.

How are your motor mounts?
Since the swingarm is mounted to the transmission, that condition can be created by worn motor mounts or by misadjustment of the stabilizer link that runs from the top of the engine to the frame.
