Default 09 lowrider have a split tank?

I noticed my lowrider has a eqalizer tube under the front of the tank. is each side of the tank completely sealed off inside and only equalizes through the tube or is there a hole inside? my friend has a 2000 big dog and has two gas caps and he hates having to fill each side separately. I have noticed sometimes that I can fill up, then when i leave and check my miles remaining it'll say like 225 miles and sometimes it'll say 200 or 185. Is that because it didnt equalize as fast as before or what?

The two sides of the Fuel Tanks in all Fuel Injected Bikes are joined across the top and at the rear of the Fuel Tank. The equalizer line is used to prevent one side from starving the other by connecting the two sides at the absolute lowest point.

Yes, but not due to the relatively small cross-over tube. The two sides fill up evenly because the gas flows over the top of the frame tunnel of the tank from one side to the other. The cross-over tube just equalizes both sides when the fuel gets below the tunnel.
