Functional Bling. Foot boards and grips. Grips will look even better once they are on the Black apes I am planning for winter. They feel great, gloves or not.
Boards look a little odd cause they stick out a bit, but for $120 bucks and the comfort factor they bring, I aint gonna worry too much about looks. I am a "Function over form" kinda person anyways.
Nice bling! You decide to go floorboard while most Softail owner complain about floorboard scraping lol, I am one of those when I owned my Fatboy, scrape every corner. You got to love the foot rest though, it is comfy!

I went with these boards because a: They are about a third the price of an FXDP or FLD setup, and b: because they mount on the forwards clevis i thought i'd get a bit more clearance, and actually do (or seem to) than if they are frame mounted.
That said, I had the right one plowing a row in the asphalt earlier today.....
If you really are function over form you would have probably got all rubber grips.
The raised rubber on the new grips gives me a lot more glove to grip traction than the stock rubber grips did. I don't have to hold the throttle anywhere near as tight as i used to, makes for much more relaxed riding
Love the grips - been thinking of chrome ones myself but I'm an 'all weather' rider and not sure about functionality in cold wet conditions; yours might just have enough rubber to do the job!

Same reason i chose these. bit of shine without "losing grip" so to speak.....
so don't worry about scraping floor boards. After the first couple of thousand miles they wont scrape anymore you will have ground them down so then they don't touch the ground LOL.. Custom grinding job for free. I loved my floorboards. the only thing I miss about my heritage.
