i ride a harley, started on a v star. i love harleys but would never turn down a riding partner bc of what they ride. mostly bc when i started riding all i could afford was a cheaper metric bike so if thats the place they are in, ill gladly support the RIDER to get his knees in the breeze.

I didn't see anyone bash Harley. I read the other posts as bashing you if anything. But to each his own, so I hope you find the folks you are looking for.

Default you were so close

I almost would have said "sure, lets hook up for a putt" I'm always lookin for people to ride with....then the "all-American" ignorance came out. I am 100% behind a man that can state his own opinion, but not to the point where the info is false.

Your Dyna for instance...look on the inside of your front forks, look at the accesories you might have on it...if it was "Made in USA" that will be easy to see. Look in your gas tank...I bet that ain't American gas from American oil. Look at the clothes you wear, what you listen to music on, what you watch your soap operas on, the tools you use...not all are made in USA. This list can go on and on....

When I buy things, I look for the "Made in USA" label, I'll buy it first...but doesn't work all the time. You might even say that our jobs are being stolen by someone who comes from a different country...and you're right, how high would you build that fence to keep American jobs from going over seas? Also remember, we were illegal immigrants too...we took the Native Americans land and life.

I have an American job, I have an American wife, I live an American life, my grandkids also live the same life...and it ain't gonna change. So if we do ride together, it might be by accident. God Bless America.

Maybe a better / differant way to approach this is to form a ride somewhere with all the Vegas members. Then we all ... yourself included, can find new and differant peeps to ride with. I mean if you are single got no place to go for turkey day... man you should see the spread the local casinos put on. I am sure their are even some Cali boys who wouldnt mind coming out. Hey now their is an idea... HDForums Thanksgiving dinner... just throwing it out there.

The Florida crew is very active, so is the socal and chicano crews, hmmmm,

Take this in another direction basically.

Default I don't want tobe taken wrong...

When I say "I live the American life"....I mean that in a way that I'm alive, living in America and enjoying every bitof what it has to offer....my family....total melting pot....it's the American way.

Jarhead....Turkey sounds like a right good idea, I'll bring the Corona and Cuervo

Default come on guys, give him a break

I'll ride with most anyone who can hold his own and who is a stand up kind of person, male OR female.

I am a patriot, combat veteran, buy american whenever i can, and would help anyone who has it coming. This guy probably said that because Harley riders are a special breed (brotherhood) and i bet he thought some would embrace the notion of wanting to keep it as american as much as possible and also appreciate his stance. That doesn't make him an a$$, he's just airing his position. So what?

One of my best buds (who i ride with occasionally) rides a kawalski..snicker, snicker.. and i rib him as often as i can about it but in fun. My favorite thing to tell him is to quit calling his bike a motorcycle because there is only ONE motorcycle...and it comes from Milwaukee.

Life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

My best friend/riding buddy rides a BMW1150RT. No matter where we ride or on which bike I ride, seems all lookers stop to complement his beemer, never what I'm on.

It's a running joke with us wondering how many will stop to say good things about his ride, while ignoring mine. We've been riding together for almost 20 years now, and I couldn't want for a better road partner and friend.
