A set of longer bolts that simply moves the lift pads to the outside of the lift pad supports. This allows the lift to contact the frame just below the rear mount and the rails at the front missing the pan guard that is welded to the frame, thus eliminating the need for adapters. Makes for a rock solid lift.
This mod works for both the Sears Red Jack and the HF Yellow Jack of similar design.

So with the table don't you need another jack to raise the bike to take off a wheel?

The bike is still supported by the tires. All it does is lift the bike up. Understood there is a removable plate under the rear tire, but the bike must still be supported right?

I also have the yellow jack. It's two years old and still work great. In the winter I raise the bike off the ground and set the lock and that's were it stays till spring. Best $59.00 I ever spent. Glenn

yes i have a small flat jack from a dodge caravan i gave 5.00 bucks for to lift the front tire and rear on the table.. once you get a table you'll never go back..for anything.. and works for all kindsa things, and the guys that love thier small jacks ( i own one also) have never used a lift table.. cause your f#$%in insane if you think a jack is better..

Not to highjack the OP's thread, but I'm comparing the Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, and Craftsman jacks. There doesn't appear to be much difference between them. Do you folks know anything that would make one a better choice than the others?

Thanks

it's not very good for oil changes for me. I bought it so I wouldn't have to lay on the ground to change oil but i seem to have trouble getting a drain pan and tools under the bike w/o lifting it off the table. that can be very tricky or at least for me it is. went back to the ole leverage jack i bought many yrs ago and laying on the ground again. other than that it's a good table to work on. heck I even used it for a buffet table when I had a fish fry out in the garage.
