Default Storage

Hi to everyone. As my previous post stated I finally got a scoot after many months of waiting. Now that the weather is turning bad though and it's my first winter having one, what is recommended for storage? I have a garage with heat vent's from the house. It doesn't get toooo warm though, just knocks off the chill. Should I remove the battery? Tarp it? Will it hurt to get out and admire the darn thing seeing I can't ride till we get some warmer weather? Gosh, this timing stinks. Why couldn't I have bought it when we had a month of nice weather ahead of us. I must be brain dead or something

i have about the same for mine. clean the bike and put a motorcycle cover to keep the dust off, a battery tender and you're pretty much good to go. i lift my off the ground with a jack, but many others don't even due that. if you decide to start it up, its a good idea to let it run for quite a while to get it completely warmed. i only start it if I intend to ride it. if not, i just let it sit with the tender keeping the battery charged.

I would look into getting an additive to the gas, SEAFOAM TUNE-UP bought at most auto parts stores. This will keep the gas stabalized and help it in the long run.

Just put some stabil or seafoam in the gas (full tank) run it into the engine for 5 miuntes and cover it up. Battery tender is oprional. Take it out on a nice day for 15-20 minutes if possible. Next year add an oil change to this procedure.

I personally store my bikes in a heated garage than is climate controlled. I have a battery tender I keep on them. Make sure that you add fuel Stabil and I would cover them even with a sheet
