Default start button is flakey

Anyone else have this issue? Sometimes it fires sometimes it takes me 5-10 times pushing the Damn button for it to go. The fuel pump primes and all when you hit the run.switch. Just a flakey start button. About to crack open the controls and take a look, but any help and direction is appreciated. This one of the reasons I gave up my kick only shovel, at least when that thing didn't start I knew I was either being a little b*tch or I forgot to turn the fuel back on.

id squirt some electrical cleaner into the switch and make sure its clean. If that doesn't work might be time for a new switch.

Electrical cleaner in the switch. Might also want to put on a backup starter button.

The starter relay may be the culprit rather than the switch. I always keep a couple spare relays around 'cause they are easy to change out for troubleshooting purposes. Before you tear into the starter switch find the relay and swap it out. While you're there, pull any fuses and other relays, clean the bayonet connectors, shoot some dielectric grease into the mounting base slots, smear some more dielectric grease onto the bayonets, and replace the fuses and relays.
